Welcome to Veteran and First Responder Services, Inc

We are committed to Serving Those Who Chose to Serve

WHO WE ARE

Veteran and First Responder Services, Inc or (“VetFirst”) is a recognized 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of our active duty and reserve/guard military, veterans, first responders and immediate families. We were formed by veterans and the spouses and children of veterans with the common understanding that we must all do more. Our mission is even more critical than ever today; we recognize the growing rate of suicide among the first responder population-a trend that only tragically continues to rise. The new VetFirst embraces our first responder community and their families as a suicide prevention center. Enough is enough! We fight to end the stigma, we fight to end suicide, and we advocate for the safe recovery and healing for all of our communities without fear of ramifications, retribution, or administrative action because you took the first step to reach out for help. We also urge those not struggling to consider contributing to our mission. Visit our About Us page where you can find a link to our giving campaigns and support the campaign that you want. Your contributions are tax deductible at the end of the year up to the maximum 50% allowed by the Internal Revenue Service and are processed through GiveButter.

    Group Outings

At VetFirst, we often hear missing a sense of belonging and purpose frequently, when conducting intakes or sessions. This trend is paralleled throughout first responder populations. We schedule group trips and outings to events, such as the Army/Navy Game, Washington Nationals and Commanders, and other events of interest.

“The folks at vetfirst made me feel safe, comfortable, and free to express my thoughts without any stigma or fear of retaliation by my company.”

— James H., Fire Chief - VetFirst Client
